The swift rise of consumer virtual reality (VR) combined with recent advances in 360° camera technologies presents us with an opportunity to experience the world in a new way. With an increasing ability to hack our sensory experience, VR has the potential to rapidly and powerfully shift human consciousness toward new horizons. ECOVR is about harnessing the power of new immersive technologies to transport viewers on a journey that brings wild nature to life in the most vivid and engaging way possible.

This unique approach is guided by:

  • advancing research on the benefits of restorative environments
  • best-practice in the design of comfortable VR content
  • the ethical use of emerging technologies
  • the promotion of psychological wellbeing

Virtual Reality therapies have the potential to reduce reliance on medication and improve quality of life. In a joint collaboration with Phoria, ECOVR is working with the Royal Children's Hospital and the Murdoch Children's Research Institute in Melbourne. Read more about the initiative here. ECOVR also provides exclusive VR content for aged and residential care programs, universities and international partners.
